Home Again (at least 3 of 5)   Leave a comment

This is Amy again, just writing to let you all know that the trip ended beautifully.  Three of us are home (Susan, Sylvia and myself) and two of us (Kathryn and Makenda) took the opportunity to search for relatives in Mississippi.  Susan, Sylvia and I shared some of our experiences during worship service today, and it felt good to sing our thanks for all that God has done for us.  We were blessed to be in New Orleans and to have the opportunity to love kindness, seek justice and walk humbly, as Susan reminded us today.
We are not done yet with this blog site.  Both Susan and Makenda have pictures to put up, and I am told that others will write some of their thoughts here.  It was a life-changing and faith-affirming journey for me, and I can’t wait to sit down with my sisters and find out what they came out of Louisiana with.
Never doubt that a band of 5 good women can get just about any job done! Thank you for sharing this journey with us.  in peace and gratitude – Amy
