Sunday on our Own   Leave a comment

Sunday – we worshiped this morning with the congregation of St. Paul’s UCC, where we are staying comfortably in dorm rooms upstairs. Rather than being a good shepherd, today Jesus might have said he was a good immigrant.

In the afternoon Bonnie, Dan, and Elise went off to the Sculpture Garden and New Orleans Art Museum. Nancy and Lisa went to the Jazz Festival. Barbara, Sylvia, and Amy went on walks in the neighborhood. Makenda and Michael arrived in the afternoon. We gathered at the church in the evening for dinner prepared by Barbara of turkey burgers and collard greens. Dan prepared a photo slide show to amuse us after dinner. The lunch crew got a head start on fruit and vegies for our lunches tomorrow, we took care of the paperwork, and most are in bed early, anticipating leaving at 7:15 am tomorrow for orientation at Little Farms. –Bonnie
